A mobile app, built for Android phones and tablets
Counts your day, holds the reminders you set, and turns the week into one report you can read standing up.
Most activity apps are built on the assumption that you want more. More metrics, more streaks, more badges, more notifications arriving at the exact moment you had stopped thinking about any of it. FEN-O was built on the opposite assumption: that the person opening a tracker at the end of a long day wants to know one or two things, wants to know them in under five seconds, and then wants to put the phone down.
So the home screen answers the only question that matters on a Tuesday evening — did today look like the days you want your days to look like? Movement, counted in the background by the sensors already in your pocket. Nothing to start, nothing to stop, nothing to remember to log. If you forget the app exists for a fortnight, the fortnight is still there when you come back.
There is no library of goals in FEN-O, no coach, no encouraging voice. There is a list of reminders, and everything on it is a sentence you typed yourself: stretch at eleven, call the pharmacy Thursday, walk before the afternoon meeting. Each one has a time and a repeat, and that is the whole of it. A reminder that comes from you is one you will actually act on; a reminder generated for a demographic is one you will swipe away for a month and then switch off entirely.
Pick up the tablet and the numbers are the same numbers. Add a reminder on the phone at a bus stop and it is waiting on the other device before you are home. Sync in FEN-O is not a feature with a screen of its own — it is the absence of the moment where you wonder which device is right.
At the end of each week FEN-O lays the seven days out next to each other and against the week before. No scores, no grades, no interpretation of your health, because that is not ours to give. Just the shape of the week, in a size you can take in at a glance: which days ran long, which ones went quietly, where the pattern sits. People tell us that is the screen they keep the app for.
FEN-O is available on Google Play, and the work on it continues the way it started — carefully, and mostly by taking things out. If you are looking at it for a team, a device line or a partnership, or you simply have a question the store listing does not answer, the form near the bottom of this page reaches the people who build it.
Movement and steps are read from the sensors already in the phone. Nothing to start before a walk and nothing to stop after it — the day is simply there when you open the app.
Write the line, pick a time, choose whether it repeats. No preset goal packs and no nudges you did not ask for — if it fires, it is because you typed it.
Phone and tablet stay in step without a setup ritual. Add a reminder on one, it is on the other; there is never a version of today that is more correct than the other one.
Seven days side by side, this week against last. The shape of the week, not a score — and no advice about what it means for your health.
Shot on ordinary devices, at the hours people actually open it.
Ask for one of these by name when you write — it saves a round of emails.
The app as most people meet it: one device, one person, the four things above and nothing else switched on.
For people who carry a phone and keep a tablet — one account, one set of numbers, no reconciling.
Rolling the app out to a workforce, a fleet of handsets or a product line — scoped with us before anything is signed.
Availability of each edition depends on the devices and regions involved; tell us yours and we will say plainly what applies.
Questions about the app, a rollout, a partnership or a device line — this reaches the people who build FEN-O, not a queue.
